Where do Winsland operate? We are based in Auckland servicing businesses from Pokeno to Warkworth and from Kumeu to Waiheke. We will service other areas particularly where clients have national operations. Beyond Auckland we work remotely though APPS such as Zoom or Teams.
What are your main services? It is almost easier to ask what we don’t do. We cover most aspects of H&S from
- risk assessment to auditing and incident investigation.
- We provide all manner of ad hoc advice and guidance to businesses.
- Our APP is home to a customisable suite of policy and procedures and is our tool for managing health and safety information.
- We provide advice on specialist topics such as chemicals and contractor management.
- We even provide people to fill H&S roles on a short term basis to cover recruitment, long term illness or project requirements.
Is H&S compliance needed for my business – it is only small? In H&S size does not matter. Like paying GST, you need to comply with relevant legislative requirements applicable to your business. The trick is how to ensure safety and compliance and minimise whilst making it easy to reduce the impact on your business.
How much does a safety consultant cost NZ? It depends on the work being done and the seniority. The latest survey put the average hourly charge out rate for a senior consultant at $175 per hour so assume a range of $130 – $220. A junior consultant should be less than $100. Our partnership arrangement is much more cost effective option for most clients – pay an annual fee (on a monthly basis) and get a defined package of services which cover all you will need.
What does a health and safety consultant do in NZ? Most standard health and safety procedures are easy to access yourself. What a health and safety consultant adds is expert knowledge on which processes you need for your circumstances. They should be the expert on all compliance requirements and have the expertise to avoid you the cost of getting it wrong.
