PCBU roles and responsibilities training
This course examines PCBU (Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking) responsibilities and delivers clear, actionable strategies to meet those legal obligations. Includes a practical breakdown of the statutory framework, core PCBU duties, and operational measures to discharge the duty of care and manage risk effectively.
Hazardous substances training
This course provides the essential knowledge and skills for those whose roles involve the use, storeage and dispose of hazardous substances in the workplace. The content is framed around the applicable legislation, the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.
Management of contractor training
Contractors typically present a significant health and safety risk and are quite likely to be one of an SME’s critical risks. This course examines all aspects of contractor health and safety management. It is foundation training for project and site managers covering from pre-qualification and engagement to project closure and everything in between.
Use of Permits / JSA and other risk mitigation tools course.
The focus of this course is how to use permit systems and Job Safety Analysis to identify and control risk in the workplace. Includes training for permit issuers and receivers. Includes completion, approval and use of JSA and associated Safe Work Procedures.
Risk management training
This course follows the risk management cycle based on the Winsland approach to risk management. The course has participants looking at tools and techniques for identification, analysis and control of risk and the complementary process of risk assurance and corrective actions.
Practical audit and assurance training
Our practical audit and assurance training covers the development and use of audit and assurance processes for your operations, including the use of the standard Winsland audit and assurance tools. The course does not qualify participants as ISO45001 auditors but does cover similar content.
H&S training for supervisors and managers
This course deals with the implementation of health and safety processes in a practical context. It deals with the manager role in discharge of the duty of care. It includes issues of change management and approaches to build and enhance safety culture and engagement.
H&S passport for construction workers
This is a unique course developed in response to our concerns about what is in the market. Its point of difference is that it focuses on a specific site or industry rather than being generic and provides a foundation of knowledge specific to the work, as a pre-requisite to work starting. Typically held as a ground session and part of the pre-start.
Incident investigation training
Learn the tools and techniques of Winsland approaches to investigation of incidents of various types. Practically based to cover both process steps and the art of interviewing to find the real causes of incidents.
