At the front-end core basic data about people and assets is entered as these are the things that drive your compliance needs and are where the controls for your risk probably sit.
Next you need to enter your critical risks and controls. Using the App this automates risk reporting and tracking.
Why is health and safety information important?
Firstly, it allows you to keep track of whether you and your people are compliant with date driven things like license renewals, fire drills and training and ensures you are compliant. It should be where you enroll people for training and track when training is completed and flag when it is due.
Secondly, it allows you to demonstrate you have identified and are actively controlling your critical risks. If you can’t show this and the worst happens then it’s like self insurance. The APP should be where you risk register is, it should extract your critical controls from the risk register and produce checklists for you to monitor controls and it should produce reports for officers and others to understand what is happening in your business with managing risk.

Case Study – Drury Farms
Drury Farms has five employees but uses several contractors. Therefore they required a system to manage employee and contractor health and safety. Consequently, after reviewing what was available, they elected to use the Winsland Health and Safety APP.

For a small business with one location and say ten employees, once it is set up the system maintains itself, sending reminders of any actions needed – that is the whole idea. Of course, the user needs to enter details of things that change which realistically may be 2 hours a fortnight.
No – once we provide you with your installation it is yours. You can maintain it yourself using AI. We can help (and will charge our time) but it should not be necessary.
